MediaCom wins Škoda UK/Sir Bradley Wiggins partnership work
MediaCom's Sport & Entertainment
team have brokered a multi-year partnership between Škoda UK and
Team Wiggins that will see Sir Bradley Wiggins featured as the face
of the Škoda UK brand in 2017.
This new partnership will sit
alongside Škoda UK's already strong investment in cycling, which
includes sponsorship of the Tour of Britain, Women's Tour and
Škoda UK will launch a new brand TVC
in February with Sir Bradley Wiggins at the heart of the
MediaCom Sport & Entertainment
will be retained as Škoda UK's exclusive sponsorship agency and
will play a pivotal role in advising and delivering the brand's
partnership with Wiggins, Britain's most decorated Olympian and
former Tour de France champion.
Misha Sher, MediaCom's Head of Sport
& Entertainment, EMEA said of the win: "It's this sort of
collaboration and fully aligned and integrated approach to
partnerships, which has underpinned our growing client portfolio
over the past two years."
Sher praised MediaCom's account teams
for their many months of strategic work and negotiation, singling
out Luke Bozeat, Gareth Allen, Alison Harper-Quinn, Cara Pelchen
and John Scurfield - for pulling together in true, 'One MediaCom'
fashion to ensure delivery of the right solution to meet Škoda's
Sir Bradley Wiggins, five times
Olympic gold medal winner, retired from professional cycling at the
end of 2016.
